Shep crouched down as he examined the bush around him for any sign of the other hunters, as he looked around he saw nothing that shouldn't have been there and then he sighed. It had been two hours since he had begun this competition in which he had to face a group of a half a dozen human trackers in a game of survival and cunning.
Shep adjusted the bow attached to his back as he check to make sure his quiver still had his 21 arrows left, after he made sure he still had everything he began to climb a nearby tree making sure not to make any noise. Soon Shep was waiting silently on a branch invisible to anyone but some one above him, Shep the notched an arrow in his bow and waited silently to spring his trap.

Cadence walked slowly in the forest, it was quiet and calm, something she could appreciate. She had a feeling that something wasn't right, even so, she ignored it and continued on.
As she walked she noticed the forest was more dead than alive, nothing was moving, and it annoyed her. She had wanted quiet and when she got it, something else bothered her. She couldnt tell what though and so she picked up her pace.

Shep had been waiting for the slight movement that would come when the hunters finally made their mistake and come beneath him, when all of a sudden an Elf walked below. Curious as to why the Elf had decided to come into this woods he began to follow the Elf careful to mask his presence in case she was working with the hunters. . . . . . .
------------------------------------------
Bob and the rest of the Hunters had almost given up on finding this Elf they had been sent to seek and terminate when all of a sudden Fred came back running as quick as he could a smile on his face. "I have good news Cap'n, I spotted an Elf coming into the forest North-West of here and if we move fast we can head her off where the trail forks into two." Bob's calm face showed little glee though on the inside he was almost jumping for joy.
"Pat, you, Jon, Rob, and Bill go split up into two groups and head of the Elf on either side, wait for my call before moving in. Fred your with me, lets close this trap quickly men, it should be as easy as stealing candy from a baby. Fred lets go!"And with that all the men melted into the tree each group going to its designated hiding spot.

Cadence walked on cautiously. She was certain now, something was not right. It seemed as if the animals and insects had vanished altogether, it was so quiet. Her elven ears were noe pricked for any out of place noise.
She knew better, quiet like this meant that already the land was in use, by human, dwarf, elf or anything else that may wander into the woods menacingly. She knew enough about animals to tell that they were hidden and frightened.
She placed a hand on her bow for reassurance, something she always carried over her shoulder. An arrow already placed in her hand, she walked on, pretending to be oblivious to whatever was taking place. If something attackeed, they would learn she wasn't as easy to beat as it may seem.

Bob and Fred looked from the trees at the Elf as she made her way down the path, making sure the others were in position Bob melted down into a bush with Fred following suit soon after. Knowing there would be no better time to spring the trap Bob made a raven call to signal everyone to be ready with their bows notched. . . . . -------------------------------------------------- Shep had been following the Elf for a little bit when he noticed the hunters were following her, probably preparing a little surprise for her. Shep knew not even he would have a chance with 6 to 1 odds in an ambush and then once he heard the raven call he knew he was going to have to act fast.
"Get out of here!" Shep yelled as he drew his bow and let an arrow fly straight and true straight at one of the hunters that were hiding in the bush. Before Shep knew if the arrow had hit he was on the ground running straight at the hunters with his sword in hand.
