******(A Relic from Inheritance)******
Name: Alfabre Abr Celobre
Age: 147
Race: Human Rider
Group: Varden/Elder
Positions:
-President of the Merchants guild/Union
-Shur-gutal Master (Varden)
-Elder Member.
-Dragon Rider (and last) of the Kings Foresworn Guard...(besides Arhur..the kings son)(one of the former foresworns)
Appearance:
Alfabre is 1.80 meters tall, has blue eyes and beacuse of his link with his dragon he has rather short black hair and a moderately sized beard. (Dragons prolong life of Humans..he really doesn't show his age)
Since he is the president of the Merchants Union he usually likes to dress in expensive outfits which were specially made for him by Alagaesias finest tailors.
(That is when he is not in his Elder Dragon Rider armour)
Personality:
Usually a friendly person who likes doing business with both sides, the empire and the warden.
While he usually trusts people, he is no fool, and sometimes it is even rumored that he has even hired people to trail certain “suspicious” individuals, although he prefers not to. (No evidence has ever been found by costumers against him)
He can be a very ferocious and dangerous enemy if the need arises.
History:
At the ripe age of 8 (normal for old history) his father had decided that he should take a more active role in life.
Under his fathers influence Alfabre was sent to work with a merchant called Selabre Talmer to learn the old mans trade.
At first this went really well, and at the age of 17, Alfabre became Selabre personal assistant.
Then about two years later Selabre was murdered by bandits as they tried to steal his goods while he was transporting them to a different town.
Alfabre, who was tending to the shop at the time heard the sad news a few days later, and he swore an oath to hunt the bandits down and to kill them.
His first attempt to find them failed as to his horror he was captured by slave traders who sold him to the king (Galbatorix himself).
Here at the age of 20, he was lucky to work as one of the kings court jesters.
As one of the kings personal favourites he was given extra treatment and was even allowed to go for walks outside the city walls (just as long as he was back in the hour, which would not have been enough time to run away and would have been too dangerous anyway)
Then one day, while on one of these walks Alfabre, found one of the fabled dragon eggs which he took with him to the king (In those days the king was known to grant any person who brought him one of the eggs a wish and of course Alfabre took his freedom)
However, just as he was about to leave the egg hatched and to the kings amazement the dragon chose Alfabre as its rider.
So in the end Alfabre had to swear his allegiance to the king, and over the next 3 years he was trained in the arts of the rider.
Along this time he grew extremely friendly with the kings second son…a handsome warrior and fellow dragon rider call Arthurius…or Arthur as he liked to be called.
Then at the age of 24, he finally got his revenge against the bandits,
(It wasn’t really very hard, a dragon and rider are fearsome enemies, not something a bandit would be able to handle)
Sadly, unknown to Alfabre a shade had hired the bandits to do some work for him at that time, and in its wrath the shade managed to track Alfabre down in the next few months.
The battle which followed was very bloody, and near the end the shade managed to kill the dragon.
At the sight of his fallen comrade, Alfabre nearly lost his head and the only thing which saved him was that the Shade was also very weak from the battle and with three massive blows Alfabre finally managed to pierce the shades heart.
For a long time Alfabre was only a small light of his former glory, Alfabre, broken and full of grief, did the only thing which he could have done, he went back to the shop which he had deserted many years before and this is when he started to create the Merchandise Empire which he now has.
In the aftermath which flowed he quickly rose up the ranks and at the age of 35 he became the president of the Alagaesias merchants union which he holds to this present day.
Then, at the age of 50, a remarkable thing happened, which changed his life forever.
Once evening he received a letter from a group which called themselves the Elders...
This group which were very secretive, had requested that Alfabre should meet them at a pre-arranged destination…which was marked on a map in the letter.
Intrigued by their secrecy Alfabre decided to go.
Open reaching the meeting place a large white Blue White Dragon had emerged from a hidden enclosure, and Alfbre, who had been overwhelmed by this, as he had never expected to see another dragon again.
On this Dragon was a very old Elf. (Arthurs(the kings son) master and last of the old Elders)
At first they just looked at each others,( Alfbare had some how lost his tongue) then after a while, Alfabre managed to say the official Elvish greeting which he knew about from his previous experiences as a rider.
(The king had always forbidden him to use it, but he had still felt it necessary for him to learn it)
“Atra esterní ono thelduin,” he had said…to which the Elf had answered with
“Mor’ranr lífa unin hjarta onr,”To which Alfabre answered with:
„Un du evarínya ono varda.“Then there was another moment of silence, before the Elf finally spoke again.
What they spoke about will not be written here, what happened however is:
During the meeting, the Elvish rider, had presented Alfabre with an Emerald Dragon egg…
“Take it, it now belongs to you” he had said, to which Alfbre had broken down and cried..
Alfbare had never been so happy in his life…
But that was not all…
Along with the egg, the Elf had also bestowed upon Alfabre a title…a great title indeed…
“Alfabre my friend” he had said….”I also name you an Elder and a Shurtugal Master…congratulations.”At this point Alabre had collapsed…it had been too much for him to handle.
At a point when he had been at his weakest, Alfabre had been made a leader…a member in the most ancient and honorable order of the Shurtugal…an Elder, a member of the old ruling council of the Dragon Riders…
True, there weren’t many Riders alive at that point, in fact hardly any...three eggs remained….3 in the hands of the traitor king…and soon one of them would be stolen…(Saphiras, Eragons Saphira) and then he would be waiting…and ready.
As well as the three eggs, the elders had another plan..
They…and only they knew where the last of the ancient wild dragons were hidden…as so it was that Alfbare went to visit them.
A few words where exchanged, and a few eggs were given…
These are the eggs which were later found in the spine and in other places…(Cyphiras etc)
Alfabre had hidden them in key places around Alagaesia..and now…with the help of Arthur and their combined master… he waited…

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Name: Emerald
Color: Emerald green...no other colours
The elves called it the Emerald Star… due to its Emerald like scales…and the name had stuck with Alfabre ever since.
The elves used to tell stories of how Emerald, used to fly over their capital, and how it looked like an emerald star when she flew high in the air.
To Alfabre however she was much, much more, to him she was a flash of new hope and new long forgotten friend…one which he had thought he would never see…yet much less feel again.
Experience: Very High
Personality:
Just and loyal dragon, would do most things without question, but it will demand an explanation to certain dangerous circumstances.
Like most dragons, very protective of its rider, yet not foolish enough to risk everything, unless absolutely necessary.
Knows of its riders previous dragons death… and she can sense her riders unending love which he gives her…which she returns in kind.
However she does know that even after all of the time which has passed he still misses his first…which she can understand and appreciate. (although sometimes it does make her a little jealous)
Extra Information on Alfbare Character:
Even though Alfabre is a very powerful rider, he is still not able to fight against the king Glabatorix, who still remains his former master.
Beacause Alfabre had vowed to serve him in the ancient language, Alfabre can not willing attack Galbatorix.
In fact he is not allowed to come even close to him..
Should Galbatorix give him a direct order (coming from the kings mouth) ALfabre would have no choice but to do it.
(Such is the power of the ancient language)
(Note: Emerald is not bound by his vow)
Therefore Alfabre is not expected to fight Galbatorix (the king...not his men...he can still fight the kings men..., however, this does not stop him from resiting the old man, though different means....(the Dragon eggs for example)
Due to Hero status this character is above the ability system…
